Wordle - Create

Another one of my new favorite pieces of technology is the "wordle." Through this website you can create an array of words about a particular topic. For example, using academic vocabulary about a specific subject (language arts: nonfiction). 

Directions: 
Click the above site to directly take you to the wordle page. From there pick you topic (example, non-fiction). Write the title multiple times in a row. This will ensure that the topic is big for the wordle.

Then, create a list of words that describe your topic.

Click create and you have created a wordle! You can edit and design the wordle as you wish. 

I have used this piece of technology in my classroom. The most recent was an end of the year activity. Students created an anonymous list of positive things to say about their classmates. Then students created a wordle of the things that their classmates said. It was a great end of the year activity for my students.
